Placed directly outside the air shower chamber, it acts as a pre-cleaning stage, capturing the bulk of coarse particles from footwear and trolley wheels before the high-velocity air removes finer particles. This dual-stage approach dramatically enhances the effectiveness of your contamination control protocol, protects the air shower filters, and extends maintenance cycles.

Application
- Specifically designed for placement at air shower entrances in ISO Class 5-8 cleanrooms, including those in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and biotech facilities.
Material & Construction
- Base Film: Extra-heavy-duty Polyethylene (PE) or Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) with high tear resistance to withstand constant traffic and rolling equipment.
- Adhesive Layer: An ultra-high-tack, pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive formulated to capture a higher volume of larger particles quickly. It is residue-free and will not soften or transfer in controlled environments.
- Backing: An aggressive, non-slip rubber backing that grips the floor securely, preventing the mat from shifting or curling during air shower cycles.
Available Colors
To ensure high visibility of contamination and prompt replacement, we offer:
- Blue: Standard for general use.
- White: Provides the highest contrast against captured dirt, signaling clearly when the top layer needs to be peeled.

How to Use
For maximum contamination control, integrate this mat into your air shower entry procedure:
- Position the Mat: Place the mat squarely on the floor directly in front of the air shower entrance door.
- Secure the Mat: Peel off the bottom protective liner, ensuring the non-slip rubber backing makes full contact with the floor.
- Activate the Adhesive Surface: Remove the top protective liner to expose the ultra-tacky surface.
- Mandatory Footwear Cleaning: Every person entering must thoroughly scrub their feet on the mat, using a twisting motion, for several seconds before proceeding into the air shower.
- Regular Replacement: Due to the high soil load, the top layer will require more frequent replacement than standard cleanroom mats. Peel off the soiled layer to reveal a fresh, clean adhesive surface. A standard air shower mat has 20-30 layers.
